Can sex induce premature labor?

I know sex helps to induce labor, because the semen thins out the cervix, but could it bring premature labor?

No, sex will not bring about premature labor, in normal, non-high risk pregnancies. If you are high-risk, however, the doctor's will usually tell you to abstain from sexual activity, just in case.

    No trust me I've had 5 children and all were born to term so sex does not induce prem labour.

    Nope, unless you are high risk or maybe if its rough/violent sex. Normal sex under normal circumstances should be fine during pregnancy

    no its all old wife's tales anyway ive had 3 baby's and well they all went over due and we carried on having sex up until i was in labor and well it never helped me along
